Paper Based or On Screen
Sit your exam using traditional pen and paper papers, or take the on screen digital version whichever suits the way you work best.
Exam Centre
Your Exams, Your Way On Our Site or From Home. Now accredited by Pearson Edexcel to deliver Functional Skills exams at every level.
Pearson Edexcel Accredited
We Are a Pearson Edexcel Accredited Exam Centre
We're proud to share that Virtual Learning College has been officially accredited as an exam centre by Pearson Edexcel. This means we can now offer our learners and students referred to us by schools, local authorities and other education providers a trusted, professional environment in which to sit their Functional Skills exams, without ever having to travel far from home.
As with everything we do, this is about removing barriers. Not every young person can get to a traditional exam hall, and not every young person feels comfortable in one. Our accreditation lets us bring exams to our students on their terms, while keeping every result fully recognised and valid.
Functional Skills
Functional Skills Exams, at Every Level
We deliver Pearson Edexcel Functional Skills qualifications in English and Maths, covering every stage from Entry Level 1 through Level 2.
Entry Level 1
Entry Level 2
Entry Level 3
Level 1
Level 2
Whatever stage a learner is at, we can assess, prepare and enter them for the exam that matches their ability, with clear next steps once they're ready to progress to the level above.
Flexible Exam Options
Choose the format and setting that works best
We know every learner is different, so we've built our exam centre around choice.
At Our Centre
Come to us and sit your exam in a calm, supervised setting designed to put learners at ease.
At Home
For students who need it, we can arrange invigilated exams remotely, so you can sit your assessment from a familiar, comfortable environment.
One Recognised Standard
Every combination, paper or digital, centre or home, is delivered to the same Pearson Edexcel standard, so results carry exactly the same weight wherever the exam is taken.
Why Choose VLC
Why Sit Your Exam With Us?
